Why is this Fort Lauderdale Riverwalk Redevelopment exciting news?
These projects continue to bring increased appeal to Ft Lauderdale’s growing city center. The Wharf, which is a waterfront entertainment space caters to families during the day and after 6PM the space becomes a meeting place for 21 and over. During their opening weekend they hosted 20,000 guests and it continues to be a relaxed hot spot. One River Plaza and X Las Olas will provide much needed affordable rental housing that is necessary for a downtown workforce. This will be very enticing to companies looking to relocate to Ft Lauderdale.
How will this redevelopment effect residential real estate in Ft Lauderdale?
The newly re-developed Riverwalk will connect the Arts and Entertainment district with Downtown, Las Olas Blvd & the riverfront. To be a world-class city Ft Lauderdale needs a vibrant, energetic downtown. As new business moves to the area those employees become tenants, homeowners and customers. We forecast a healthy future real estate market in Ft Lauderdale especially in the neighborhoods closest to downtown.
