The Venetian Islands

The Venetian Islands consist of 6 man-made islands in the Biscayne Bay between Midtown/Edgewater and Miami Beach. These six islands are Biscayne, San Marco, Di Lido, San Marino, Belle Isle and Rivo Alto. The islands are connected by the Venetian Causeway. The homes for sale on the Venetian Islands are located both on waterfront lots as well as on dry lots. Many of the Venetian Island homes are newly build or have been renovated in the last few years.  The islands comprises of homes with a mix of modern and more traditional, Mediterranean homes. Venetian Island homes vary from 3 to 7 Bedroom homes. They offer 1,500 SF to 10,000+SF homes on lots of 5,000 SF to 20,000 SF+.  Homes have increased significantly in value in the last few years as Venetian Islands homes became very desired with wealthy relocation buyers. The tech crowd and hedge fund managers all flocked to this part of Miami Beach to make it their new home. These days waterfront homes on the Venetian Islands trade anywhere between $6M and $30M and dry lot homes between $2M and $10M.


As mentioned before many homes on the Venetian Islands are new constructions. In the last few years investors bought up many of the more dated homes and built large, contemporary mansions on the lots. The area has become one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Miami Beach because of its many superb real estate options and waterfront location. Besides the waterfront aspect, the Venetian Islands are ideally located between Miami’s downtown area and South Beach. Buyers come here for the luxurious waterfront mansions, the boating lifestyle, the proximity to the Beach and the prestige that the islands bring with them. Please note that the Venetian Island are not a gated community. If you like this type of island but in a gated community we suggest you look at Hibiscus Island / Palm Island / Star Island.
