What is happening with the Downtown Fort Lauderdale Riverwalk Redevelopment? 

The Ft Lauderdale Forum recently hosted a panel discussion, which focused on the new developments along the riverfront at the west-end of Las Olas Blvd in the Riverwalk. The panel presenters were Emilio “Emi” Guerra of Breakwater Hospitality Group, Tom Vogel of KRV Real Estate Management Company and Brian Koles of Property Markets Group. The new developments discussed were The Wharf waterfront entertainment space, One River Plaza Apartments and X Las Olas which is a micro housing building.

Why is this Fort Lauderdale Riverwalk Redevelopment exciting news?

These projects continue to bring increased appeal to Ft Lauderdale’s growing city center. The Wharf, which is a waterfront entertainment space caters to families during the day and after 6PM the space becomes a meeting place for 21 and over. During their opening weekend  they hosted 20,000 guests and it continues to be a relaxed hot spot. One River Plaza and X Las Olas will provide much needed affordable rental housing that is necessary for a downtown workforce. This will be very enticing to companies looking to relocate to Ft Lauderdale.

How will this redevelopment effect residential real estate in Ft Lauderdale?

The newly re-developed Riverwalk will connect the Arts and Entertainment district with Downtown, Las Olas Blvd & the riverfront.
