Auberge Beach in Fort Lauderdale is Built to Withstand the Storm
We typically discuss our favorite lines in a condo or the views and amenities, but this article is dedicated to the outstanding quality of construction at Auberge. Careful thought went into every aspect of the build beginning with the site selection.
Auberge was built on a resilient site. Compared to South Beach with a base elevation of 6′ above sea level, the Auberge site is 12′ above sea level. The ground floor slabs were elevated to a height of 15 feet above sea level. Further to the height, construction included a reinforcing seawall and breakaway walls on the perimeter. The breakaway walls detach in high winds to help maintain structural integrity.
Auberge also has a 120,000 SF underground basement that sits 15 to 20 feet below sea level. The foundation has a drainage system built into it and includes a fully waterproofed perimeter. Additional protection is provided by the surrounding natural sand dunes.
Auberge Beach Residences is architecturally beautiful and built to withstand Mother Nature. If you are considering buying or selling an Auberge Residence give us a call. We are the Auberge Condo Experts and the resource for everything Auberge.
