    Upper EastSide Miami

     

    The Upper Eastside of Miami is a neighborhood located along the Biscayne Bay, just north of the booming Edgewater area, east of Little Haiti and south of Miami Shores. It’s a lesser known area for outsiders, but within Miami the area is known as a desired residential area.
    This Miami residential neighborhood offers many single family homes from the beginning of the 20’s century as well as office towers, hotels and condos mostly located along the Biscayne Boulevard. The area’s perfect location along the Biscayne Bay, with close proximity to booming Edgewater, Design District, Downtown Miami and even Miami Beach makes it an obvious choice for many buyers.
    The Upper Eastside in Miami consists of different sub-neighborhoods:  Magnolia Park, Bay Point, Morningside, Bayside, Belle Meade, Shorecrest, and Palm Grove.

     

     

     

    Belle Meade

     
    Belle Meade is a private, gated community and the southern part contains a smaller subdivision known as the Bayside Historic District. The northern part contains Belle Meade Island.     Morningside is a residential historic sub-neighborhood within the Upper Eastside. It is home to the Morningside Historic District. Developed primarily between 1922 and 1941, Morningside contains a wealth of MediterraneanArt Deco, and vernacular style houses. Even though many homes are now remodeled or rebuilt, the area still provides an authentic character.

    Bay Point is an affluent gated community in the Upper Eastside and known for its waterfront homes.  There are approximately 250 homes in Bay Point, which are 24/7 protected by private security. Needless to say, the waterfront location and the security is what attracts many buyers to this chic area. Homes range from $1M to $25M+. The most exclusive homes can be found along Sabal Palm Road. The architecture varies widely in this area with many homes still in their original architecture (’40-’60) while others are showing a more contemporary style and have been fully remodeled or rebuilt. Bay Point’s most famous current and former residents include Enrique IglesiasDwyane WadeGoran Dragic, Stephen Zack, Liván HernándezWilly Chirino, and DMX.
